This is part of a project I started during the pandemic at home. I wanted to make a rock record where I could stretch out completely and do whatever I wanted. What came out of it is a bunch of high-energy, driving rock tunes with saxophone, dueling leads, many layers of guitars, loud bass, and extended instrumental sections. Here is one of the first tunes I wrote for it called “Sonic 2.”

This is a tune that I wrote last November after visiting Mt. Pisgah in the rolling Appalachian Mountains of North Carolina. It’s a colorful post-bop inspired tune that features Derek Johnson on drums, Chris Caporale on Piano, Mason Daugherty on Bass, and Myles Twitty on Trumpet.
